More Coverage
Worried about the high cost of cancer?
Cancer is the most expensive battle you'll fight. Experimental treatments and new inventions are not covered by insurances, drug prices are high, chemo is not cheap.
Supplement your health insurance with a cancer policy.
Receive a lump sum, tax free, to pay for these high costs. The breakeven can be 2 or more decades so it's worth paying for the peace of mind.
Two types of cancer policies available. Call me for rates and details on how they differ.

2 ways to defend against high deductibles
For individual and family policies, a high deductible is painfully expensive to meet. In one blink-of-an-eye accident or illness, you are paying out $1000s. Here are 2 reasonably priced policies that can help: Accident and Hospital Indemnity.
Accident Policy
For many healthy families, accidents are what lands them in the ER. A slice with kitchen knife, a Little League injury, a fall from a ladder. An accident policy pays out on what your insurance company bills you for the ER, urgent care service, ambulance, PT as related to the accident. What you are charged by insurance = what you get reimbursed.
This supplementary plan is very reasonably priced for covering ER and urgent care visits that often cost up to $1000s.
Hospital Indemnity Plan
This policy reimburses you a lump sum for each day spent in the hospital in the hospital, plus coverage for ER for an accident. This is a per-individual policy, not a family policy. Eligibility questions are required for under 65. No underwriting for 65+.
Add financial protection to your Medicare plan
Whether you have a Medicare Advantage plan or chose Original Medicare (Medicare Supplement/Medigap and Part D Drug Plan), a combination of the above plans can financially protect you from high out-of-pocket costs.
CHOOSE A CANCER PLAN. Medicare does not cover the cost of experimental drugs or new treatments not yet approved for nationwide coverage. Often cancer prescriptions are Tier 5 or 28-33% of retail cost. Chemotherapy - a Part B drug - costs you 20% on Medicare Advantage plans.
CHOOSE A HOSPITAL INDEMNITY PLAN. Hospital stays, ambulance rides, ER visits all have copays on Medicare Advantage plans. Take a hospital indemnity plan to the max with riders for ambulance and rehab coverage. No need for this plan if you have Original Medicare.
